I'm planting a garden in my screen (2023– present) is an ongoing series of media artworks that explore the dystopic realities our technologically-influenced futures. Dispersed among dirt and decaying plant life, natural and artificial worlds collide to expand dimensions of the afterlife within the confines of cyberspace. Ghostly, 3D-rendered flowers play continuously in motion, creating an algorithm that both acknowledges a beginning and end, while also preserving a state of immortality. Trapped between the endless black and the glass that contains them, these screen flowers represent a desire of our present day, to experience moments of beauty through the mediation of the screen.
This one-night exhibition will be held outdoors. In the case of inclement weather the exhibition will be postponed. Please keep an eye on our socials for updates!
